The updated complete alternator replaces ALL the components of the Alternator and the rotor removal tool. The high output design includes a European made stator and rotor with increased electrical output and paired with a modern diode board, and adjustable voltage regulator. The system replaces the under performing Bosch charging system with a 105mm outside diameter stator (timing cover side) used on early BMW Airhead's from 1970-1976. This EDL3 charging system will reach charging voltage sooner than any other BOSCH style charging system we offer.
